The Cliburn proudly presents the jury for the Seventeenth Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, comprising some of the best performing pianists of our time. Each jury member actively shapes the classical music landscape through their performance and instruction.

In addition to serving on the jury, Gabriela Montero has been commissioned to compose a new work for the 2025 Cliburn Competition, to be performed by all 30 competitors. This marks the third time that the composer of the commissioned work will also serve on the jury.

Screening Jury

All members of the panel combine distinguished performance careers with a commitment to nurturing the next generation of artists. They were charged first with selecting the 77 pianists to be invited to the live Screening Auditions, from the 150 recommended to them by the Video Screening Panel. They then sat for the Auditions March 16–22, 2025, at Van Cliburn Concert Hall at TCU in Fort Worth, Texas USA, and voted for the 30 who would return in May to compete.
