The 2022 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition has become one of the most-watched classical music events in history with more than 40 million webcast views in 170 countries (with Yunchan Lim’s performance of Rachmaninov Piano Concerto No. 3 reaching #24 in globally trending videos on YouTube, amassing 1.2 Million views in less than 24 hours). The world fell in love with these young pianists through more than 10,000 news stories published over the course of the competition.

In the three years since their Cliburn win Yunchan Lim, Anna Geniushene, and Dmytro Choni have established flourishing careers, sharing their music around the globe.

Documentaries have been one of the Cliburn’s most powerful tools for reaching new audiences. In total, there have been twelve films to date; they have told the stories of the competitors and captured countless exhilarating, life-changing moments. 

In 2024, the Cliburn Agency was launched t offer comprehensive general management, concert booking, project management, and publicity and branding services to a select group of rising and established instrumentalists—piano and beyond—whose high artistic caliber is matched by a vision for moving the field of classical music forward.
