Kenny Broberg, jury member for the 2027 Cliburn International Competition for Young Pianists

The Cliburn announces the launch of a major new program: the Cliburn International Competition for Conductors, open to 21- to 35-year-old conductors. Taking place in June 2028 in Houston, Texas, in partnership with the Houston Symphony and the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University, it will be the first major international conducting competition in North America.

In this concert, 4 of 28 competitors will each perform a 40-minute recital, including the worldwide debut of the 2025 Cliburn commissioned work composed by Competition juror Gabriela Montero.

2026 Cliburn Festival: America 250 will take place March 26–29, 2026, at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth with pianists-in-residence Peter Dugan, Avery Gagliano, and Jonathan Mamora.

The 2009 Cliburn Gold Medalist releases his second collaboration with BIS Records, featuring Beethoven's Hammerklavier Sonata and Liszt's Sonata in B Minor.

Decca Classics has announced an upcoming album release from 2022 Cliburn Gold Medalist Yunchan Lim, entitled Tchaikovsky: The Seasons. The album's "June Barcarolle" is available now on Apple Music.

For his debut release with the Naïve record label, the 2022 Cliburn Bronze Medalist released this collection of Liszt, Debussy, Silvestrov, and Liebermann.

Pianist Daria Kiseleva debuted with orchestra at age 10. She has since won top prizes at some of the world’s most renowned music competitions and performed at famous concert halls such as Carnegie Hall in New York and the Salle Cortot in Paris. She has brought her music to Europe, North, and South America and looks forward to visiting even more continents.
