They're among the hottest young couples in the opera world. Australian soprano Nicole Car and Canadian baritone Étienne Dupuis have performed together on iconic stages in famous roles around the globe. They even debuted at Metropolitan Opera together in 2018 in La bohème. And now—by chance of their engagement in Verdi’s Don Carlo at the Dallas Opera in spring 2026—they’ll make a rare joint recital performance, and their first Cliburn Concerts appearance. Come experience her beautiful, rich timbre combined with his “suave, empathetic baritone” and his “refined, charismatic” stage presence” (The New York Times).
