Countdown to the Cliburn returns this year, inviting you for a taste of the artistry and excitement of the upcoming 2025 Cliburn Competition! Bring your friends and family for this free concert from a spectacular Cliburn laureate, 2022 Cliburn finalist Clayton Stephenson, with an opening performance from the UNT One O'Clock Lab Band.
Countdown to the Cliburn returns to present six concerts, free and open to all ages, across North Texas. Celebrate the joy and excitement of musicmaking with us as we get ready for the 2025 Cliburn Competition, taking place May 21–June 7.

2022 Cliburn finalist
American pianist Clayton Stephenson’s love for music is immediately apparent in his joyous charisma onstage, expressive power, and natural ease at the instrument. Hailed for “extraordinary narrative and poetic gifts” and interpretations that are “fresh, incisive, and characterfully alive” (Gramophone), he is committed to making an impact on the world through his musicmaking.
UNT One O'Clock Lab Band
The One O'Clock Lab Band, under the direction of Alan Baylock, is the premier performing ensemble of the University of North Texas jazz studies program. With seven Grammy® nominations in its history, the One O'Clock Lab Band is noted for exceptional individual musicianship and tight ensemble performance.

- This concert is free and open to the public. No tickets required.
- Join us on the lawn! Bring your blankets and lawn chairs or sit right on the grass.
- Food and drinks, including alcohol, are available for purchase. Outside food is also allowed.
Parking
Parking at the Levitt Pavilion available in the nearby lots highlighted in blue on the map below. In addition to the areas shown below, attendees may park in the garage at 101 Center, Pinnacle Corporation on Abram Street east of the Levitt. The Tarrant County Subcourthouse and the Arlington Chamber of Commerce have parking lots only a short walk away.
Please do not park in the AT&T lot at the corner of 300 W South and 100 S West streets.
