Lauren Koszyk is an educator and collaborative pianist in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. She began piano lessons at 10 years old and quickly discovered a love of making music with friends. In the spirit of collaboration, her favorite pieces to play are songs with opera singers. She has spent summers as a vocal coach and accompanist at Musiktheater Bavaria, Music on Site, Inc., Opera Seme, and Midwest Institute of Opera, among many others.
Lauren is currently working towards a dual degree: a Doctorate of Musical Arts and Master of Business Administration at the University of North Texas. She has completed undergraduate degrees in collaborative piano, music performance, and even German; she wanted to become fluent to better connect with her family’s heritage.
A passionate and dedicated educator, Lauren currently maintains a private piano studio in the Dallas area and is an active member of the Dallas Music Teachers Association. Her students have been accepted into top music schools and summer festivals across the country. She has been presented with top honors by Steinway & Sons for her teaching and was named a “Lincoln Laureate” by the Governor of Illinois.
When she isn’t at the keyboard or hosting a Cliburn in the Classroom program, Lauren loves to travel, read, and grab coffee with friends.
