The Cliburn is very grateful to JPMorgan Chase Foundation for pledging its support of the Piano Lessons programs for the four school years from 2011-2012 through 2014-2015. Through a generous grant from the JPMorgan Chase Foundation, 12 second-grade students from S.S. Dillow and David K. Sellars public elementary schools in the 2011-2012 school year will be provided with lessons free of charge until they finish the fifth grade.
At the end of each school year, the students perform a recital at their school for their families and fellow students to enjoy. In attendence for the 2012 year-end recitals included representatives from JPMorgan Chase & Co. and the Van Cliburn Foundation who presented certificates to the students in honor of completing their first year of free piano lessons.
