Join us as we celebrate with the 22nd Annual Dia de los Muertos en Fort Worth – Celebración de Vida, Arte y Cultura. The celebration parade & and festival takes center stage on North Main Street, in the heart of the Historic Northside District of Fort Worth! 

Violinist Florence Wang Conrad and pianist Daria Kiseleva will perform at 1:20 PM

Día de los Muertos Parade takes place 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. 

Día de los Muertos Festival runs from 11:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

About Florence Wang Conrad, violin

Originally from China, Florence Wang Conrad began her musical studies at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing. She later moved to the United States after accepting a full artist scholarship at the Meadows School of the Arts at Southern Methodist University, studying under Chee-Yun. 

Mrs. Conrad has spent many summers at Tanglewood Music Center, where she was concertmaster of the Contemporary Music Ensemble; Music Academy of the West; Spoleto Festival USA; Sarasota Music Festival; and Utah Festival Opera. 

Currently, Mrs. Conrad serves as acting assistant concertmaster of the Dallas Opera Orchestra. She has also performed with the Dallas Symphony, Fort Worth Symphony, and Charleston Symphony in South Carolina. An active chamber musician, she appears on stage with Dallas area ensembles such as Ensemble 75, Avant Chamber Ballet, and the Basically Beethoven Festival. 

Apart from the violin, she enjoys life with her husband Wayne and their two young children. 

 

About Daria Kiseleva, piano

Pianist Daria Kiseleva debuted with orchestra at age 10. She has since won top prizes at some of the world's most renowned music competitions and performed at famous concert halls such as Carnegie Hall in New York and the Salle Cortot in Paris. She has brought her music to Europe, North, and South America and looks forward to visiting even more continents.

Born in Russia, Daria started piano lessons at the age of 4 and graduated from Moscow State Gnesin College and Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory. In 2014, she moved to Fort Worth to pursue an artist diploma and doctor of musical arts at TCU. She also joins Cliburn in the Classroom for her first season as a program pianist.

Apart from music, Daria loves ballet. She danced throughout childhood and now shares that joy with her own daughter. She also can’t live without trips to the mountains or good coffee!
